A case involving businessman Abass Badru Omuyoma, who faces charges of fraud for allegedly deceiving a foreign national into paying USD 54,550 under the pretense of selling 15 kilograms of gold, has been rescheduled to September 28, 2025.
The postponement occurred due to the absence of the trial magistrate. Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Benmark Ekhubi, acting on behalf of Magistrate Ondieki, has set the new hearing date for September 23.

Omuyoma is accused of committing this fraudulent act on August 11, 2021, in Nairobi, where he allegedly misled Yvan De Coninck into believing he was in possession of gold for sale, a claim he knew to be untrue. Currently, he is out on cash bail as he awaits further proceedings in the case.
