Your Complete Guide to Checking IEBC Voter Registration Online for 2025How to Use the Internet to Verify Your IEBC Voter Registration Details

After a temporary shutdown lasting several days for maintenance, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced that its voter verification portal is now operational again.

This development allows Kenyans who are already registered to check their voter information as the registration period for the upcoming 2027 general elections approaches.

Voters can easily verify their details either through SMS or by visiting the IEBC website. To use the SMS option, individuals should send their national ID or passport number—whichever was used for registration—to the number 70000. For those preferring the online method, they can navigate to https://verify.iebc.or.ke, where they will need to input their ID or passport number along with their year of birth.

The portal will then display essential voter information, including the individual’s full name, county, constituency, and ward. Additionally, it will provide details about the polling center, polling station name, and polling station number (stream).

Voters also have the option to download their information as a PDF document. The IEBC has reported that it holds records for over 22.1 million registered voters from the 2022 general elections and anticipates an increase of approximately 5.7 million new voters, potentially bringing the total to around 28 million for the 2027 elections.
