Kenyan respected lawyer Danstan Omari has downplayed the media reports that claimed that the country’s head of Public Prosecution was incompetent.
Addressing the press in his Nairobi office today, Omari defended DPP Renson Igonga against the said allegations terming them false and confusing.
” I want to respond to the media reports claiming that the DPP is incompetent following the court dismissal of Rose Njeri’s charges. The reports are false and the Dpp will be appealing the lower courts verdict on Monday,” Omari told the press.
He said that having worked in the criminal justice for long, he was very much conversant with the criminal law and that the DPP was professional on how delt with the matter.
He added that Igonga was the defender of Justice and his previous records spoke on its own.

” Igonga was the defender and implementer of the Constitution and not its maker,” said Omari.
Lawyer Omari was responding on the reports that emerged following a dismissal of a charge in which Rose Njeri a software developer had been charged with cyber misuse related charges but were declared defective by Milimani court Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo.
